I have known I wanted to be a pedatric therapist from the moment I decided to pursue OT. I love cheering on the UCA Bears during football season, reading a good book, quilting, spending time outdoors, horseback riding, traveling, and spending time with friends and family!

My motivation springs from personal experience benefiting from therapy services as a child and witnessing my parents navigate the complexities of the healthcare system. I strongly believe a person cannot know what it’s like to need OT, PT, or ST until they have walked in someone else’ shoes. I am dedicated to becoming the therapist every child deserves: one who facilitates learning and growth, who identifies what make each child “tick”, who empowers every child to defeat all odds and overcome life’s obstacles, and meets every child and their family where they are. My husband previously served on staff at a local church. We love connection and fellowship with pre-teens and families.

I was born and raised in the Kansas City, Missouri area, but have resided in Arkansas for the last 10 years while attending school and now raising a family. My husband and I have a beautiful baby girl and two dogs (a Siberian Husky and a Yorkie-poo!).

When I’m not at work, you can catch me hanging out with my family at home or at a park, watching crime or cooking shows, or tapping into my hobby of family photography!

I chose to work at PlayRx because of their vision and passion for empowering and equipping children through play-based therapy. The owner and other therapists here really love their jobs and the kiddos we treat. You can tell they put their everything into each session and have the kids best interest at heart! I also enjoy that, not only do we serve children at our clinic, but we also push into the daycares in Sherwood and NLR, as well as work alongside teachers and parents, to help generalize therapy-learned skills into the classroom and daily routines.

I have always had a calling to work for children. I knew I wanted to work in Pediatrics from the start even before I chose this profession. What I love about being a speech-language pathologist working in pediatrics the most is the play-based intervention. It excites me to think about new activities for therapy and ways to enjoy the work we do with our patients.
